The IBM PalmTop PC110Using PS2.EXE: Miscellaneous |
Miscellaneous |
Values: ON or OFf
Type: basic
Enables or disables the keyboard click sound made whenever any key is pressed.
Values: Enable or Disable
Type: basic
Controls the effect of closing the PC110's cover (lid, screen, call it what you will). If set to Enable, closing the cover puts the PC110 into standby mode; if set to Disable it will have no effect.
Be careful if you disable this feature. I did this on my machine, then forgot and just
closed the cover and walked away from it whilst it was on mains power. I came back to find
a very warm PC110! The screen backlight had been on all the time, since the system
did not enter standby mode, and it could only dissipate its heat through the keyboard.
Values: xx or xx=yy (where xx
and yy are two-digit hex numbers)
Type: advanced
Unknown. Either it allows you to remap function keys for specific (BIOS?) functions, or it was just left behind by the developers...
If anyone has more information on this particular command, please let me know.

Type: advanced
Changes the keyboard repeat rate when a key is held down.
Values: Auto or Time or
Battery

whenever the machine is running on batteries and suspended. Time causes the
current time to be displayed, Battery causes the battery charge details to be
displayed, and Auto causes the display to alternate between the time and battery
status.
