Installing Windows 95
onto the IBM PalmTop PC110

Introduction

This section deals with the installation and configuration of perhaps the most popular operating system on the PC110 - Windows 95.

It is recommended that you install a copy of Windows 95 Service Release 2 (OSR2) if you can get hold of it.This incorporates updates to the original version, plus a couple of power-management features that are particularly nice to have on the PC110:

Unfortunately, OSR2 occupies more disk space than the original version. Disk space becomes something of a premium, because it is very nice to have a copy of the .CAB files (around 50MB in total) on the hard disk after installation, so that plug&pray and software configuration can be done on the move. After doing a fairly standard install, and keeping the installation files on the hard disk, I've lost 124MB of space to the operating system (including swap file). Put it on the biggest PCMCIA drive you have :-)
